Clara Murray-Beato is now a New York State Department of Health-approved provider of Early Intervention services.
Applied Behavior Analysis is an empirical and well documented science. Its practice and application can be applied to many additional settings and populations.
As a practitioner, I seek to understand the variables responsible for maintaining and/or changing behavior and use this understanding to promote meaningful change in the lives my clients and students. Primarily, I seek to accomplish this by increasing target behaviors and skills using positive reinforcement. Targeted changes may include social interactions, academics, verbal behavior/communication skills, and other socially significant behaviors.
My clients typically include young children diagnosed with autism and school age children.
Areas of clinical focus include:
- Verbal Behavior/Communication Skills
- Academic skills
- Establishing and increasing cooperation
- Analyzing challenging behaviors
- Teaching alternative, replacement behaviors
- Training ABA therapists
- Collaborating with families, teachers, school administrators, and related-discipline therapists.
